The South West has now become a central point in the UK for sending aid across Europe. We need your help to continue to fund our aid projects.
In 2017, we intend to send more containers and essential aid to the refugee camps in Greece, France. Through our collections across Devon and Cornwall we can also help and support the refugee and asylum seeker community on our doorstep.
We collect food, clothing, baby essentials, hygiene products, shelter and warmth and toys. As well as our aid appeals we run other appeals across the community and schools. These have included, Gift Boxes of Smiles for Greece, I CAN YOU CAN WE CAN (tinned food appeal) and a Toy Amnesty. These have all been incredibly successful in generated awareness and support.
We are currently collecting for a 40ft container to be sent to Lesvos in Greece. We are working alongside other refugee aid groups to collect and sort aid to be sent over to Greece in the coming weeks.
Wadebridge Refugee Aid Project, Launceston Refugee Support Group, Refugee Aid and Ottery Refugee Response Group are all supporting and helping to fill the container.
