Greece aid container No 2 arrives in Lesvos on the 15th August 2018
On the 15th August 2018 our second aid container for Greece arrived at Attika Human Support in Lesvos. The container was filled with approximately 8 tonnes of humanitarian aid which included nappies, toiletries, clothing, bicycles, baby buggies and prams, food, hammocks, towels, sleeping bags and blankets. All the items have been doanted from schools, communities, groups, individuals and churches across the South West of England. The container reached Attika just in time; they had just run out of basic summer essential items.
So a huge thank you to everyone who has donated and to all the volunteers and groups around the South West who have supported us for the last 3 years and who keep supporting what we do. Together we are all achieving so much and we will continue to do so with your support.
We are now collecting for our winter container which will be the 3rd container we have sent across to our partners Attika Human Support, once again we are asking for food, shelter, clothing, toiletries and baby items, so please get in touch via email if you would like to hold a collection in your area. The container will onec again leave QStore Business Centre in Saltash Cornwall.
